PortfolioClick on a link below to view the related gallery. 2008 Children's Health FairDuring the 9th Annual Children's Health Fair the MCM welcomed more than 620 people to the event! 2008 MCM Golf Outing The Muncie Children's Museum's 2008 Golf Outing was held at Crestview Golf Course on Monday, May 19, 2008. 16 teams showed up to help support the MCM! 2009 Explore the Arts! Summer Camp Campers explored art in its many forms during this imaginative camp. They explored their creative outlets through painting, drawing and working with clay. Campers went on field trips to the Ball State Museum of Art, Artist Within and Jack's Camera. 2009 Fire Safety Field Days In preparation for October’s National Fire Prevention month, the Muncie Children’s Museum hosted two Fire Safety Field Days in 2009! The MCM’s Fire Safety Field Days were held on Tuesday, September 29, and Wednesday, September 30, for local area schools to come to the MCM to learn about fire safety. 2009 Golf Outing The Muncie Children's Museum held it's 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Hickory Hills Golf Course, on May 21, 2009. We had 17 teams participate this year! Thanks to everyone who came out to support the MCM! 2009 Miniature Golf Outing The Muncie Children's Museum held its first ever Miniature Golf Outing on Monday, June 8, at Vanilla Greens Miniature Golf Course! 2010 Children's Health Fair The 11th annual Children's Health Fair was held Saturday, April 17, 2010, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Muncie Children's Museum. The mission of the Children's Health Fair is to promote free health and safety focused education for children through a fun and interactive environment. The Children's Health Fair is the only health fair specifically for children in East Central Indiana and this year, we anticipate approximately 400 children, not to mention their caregivers, to attend this free event. 2010 Explore the Arts Summer Camp! This summer campers were able to let their inner artists shine! Through painting, sculpture, theater, photography and much more campers experienced various forms of art, and visited behind-the-scenes locations to learn about different art forms. 2010 MCM Golf Outing The 3rd Annual Muncie Children's Museum Golf Outing was held Friday, July 9, at Hickory Hills Golf Club! 30th Birthday Celebration Catch a glimpse of the Muncie Children's Museum during the 30th birthday celebration. ARTbeat! Summer Camp Campers enjoyed their time at camp making paintings, doing sketches and working with clay throughout the entire week! Chagall for Children Chagall for Children is a multi-sensory, interactive exhibit where children, and adults alike, can learn about the world-renowned artist Marc Chagall. Conservation Quest Reception On Friday, January 22, 2010, the Muncie Children's Museum held a reception for MCM members, Board and Guild members and Conservation Quest donors, to come and explore the new travelling exhibit Conservation Quest. Attendees also took part in a light switch paiting activity provided by The Artist Within. Cool Moves! The Artistry of Motion Cool Moves! The Artistry of Motion reception for members and sponsors. Images from around the museum Indiana Safari Summer Camp The campers of Indiana Safari Camp had a great week filled with adventure walks around Muncie and a hike through Christy Woods at Ball State University. They also investigated the White River, made friends with an American Alligator, a tarantula, a White's Tree Frog, a lizard, a Bearded Dragon, two Rat snakes, two Corn snakes, a Ball Python and turtles! Jan. 2009 Friends and Family Fun Night The theme for January's Friends & Family Fun Night was "Animal Extravaganza"! Night Stalkers, the Anderson Pet Emporium, brought in many of their own reptiles, amphibians and mammals for the visitors to see and feel! State Farm Dedication The Muncie Children's Museum's "Learn Not to Burn" program gained an additional educational component that will ensure children are better prepared in the case of an emergency. Sun, Sand & Celebration To show our gratitude for all of the things that people in the community do for the Museum every year, we invited our donors and friends of the Museum to Sand, Sun Celebration at the MCM, on Thursday, June 5. |
