Museum Guild
What is the purpose of the Guild?
The purpose of the Muncie Children's Museum Guild is to increase community support and usage of the Muncie Children's Museum as a creative participatory center.
A member stimulates interest in the exhibits and programs by planning special activities. These activities increase membership and coordinate an active volunteer program.
A member also helps by volunteering for fundraising events which increase the Museum's revenues for operations, exhibits, and programs.
A Guild member administers and supports the fund raising efforts of the Yes, Every Child! scholarship program. This program provides free admission to underprivileged families and children.
Finally, a Guild member helps to communicate concerns of the Museum members to the staff and Board of Directors.
What does a Guild member do?
A Guild member is a Muncie children's Museum member who helps plan special events and aids in fundraising for the Museum. Different activities take place throughout the year.
Each Event has its own special committee. You are invited to help in the areas in which you are interested.
Guild members meet monthly on the third Tuesday at 12:30 pm at the Muncie Children's Museum. Babysitting is provided at the Museum during meetings. Visitors are always welcome.
