Solar Eclipse at the Muncie Children’s Museum

What connects Muncie to other cities in the United States? At a surface level, it may not be much. But for a few minutes on April 8, 2024, those of us #InthePathofTotality will be connected by a total solar eclipse — visible to more than 30 million people across the U.S.

Muncie Children’s Museum is excited to offer a new Temporary Mini Exhibit along with scheduled activities prepared for our visitors to explore and learn more about the 2024 Total Solar Eclipse. Make sure you come check it out!

Follow our Facebook page for more information on scheduled solar eclipse activities.

Big Changes Coming to the MCM in 2023!

There’s MORE TO EXPLORE at the Muncie Children’s Museum in 2023!

For the first time in 25 years, the Muncie Children’s Museum has embarked on an exciting fundraising campaign to reinvigorate this long time staple in Muncie, Indiana. Since 1977, the Muncie Children’s Museum has provided fun educational and interactive entertainment for children of all ages with numerous unique play areas. We are so grateful for our wonderful community and are excited to announce we’ve already raised over $2.6 million! Check out the renderings of our new model train layout and water table coming mid-summer/early fall 2023 to the MCM!

We are still seeking donations of any size to help us meet our goal! You can help us reach our goal of $3 million and play a part in creating new educational and fun areas kids can enjoy for years to come.
