The Muncie Children’s Museum is a place for hands-on learning. All group programs are allowed time for exploration, investigation, experimentation , and fun in the museum. Programs are adapted according to the Indiana Academic Standards for Science and Literacy, which stresses across content areas and the big idea in grade-level curriculum.
All programs are 25-30 minutes long. Each class is allowed one program per field trip. We encourage free time to explore the museum after programs. A confirmation will be sent out regarding your reservation.
Admission Cost
The group rate is $5 per person for Museum Exploration and $6 per person for field trip programs: Animal Families, Learn Not To Burn, Shopping With Shapes, and Cookie Creation.
Group rates are available for prescheduled groups of 10 or more. For groups with 10 or more children, one adult is admitted free for every five children.
MCM memberships, reciprocal memberships, discount coupons, and free sand art coloring sheets do not apply to group visits or field trip programs.
FIELD TRIP REGISTRATION
To register for a field trip, please call the museum at 765-286-1660 Wednesday – Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., or fill out the Online Registration Form.
To make scheduling quick & easy, please have this information ready:
- Your contact information
- Preferred program
- Preferred date & approximate time
- Number of students & chaperones
- School name
- Grade levels
- Teachers’ names & how many classes
- Will your group visit the gift shop?
- Is your group making sand art? ($2 per child)
- Will your group eat lunch at the museum?
Space is limited. Reserve your trip ASAP, at least two weeks ahead of time, to ensure availability.
