MCM’s Giving Tree 2021

Throughout the year, we have had many visitors and Museum friends ask how they can help! You asked! We answered!

Thank you so much for supporting the efforts of the Muncie Children’s Museum and our Giving Tree!

You can purchase and donate items on our Amazon Wish List https://a.co/iGLlpu1

Stop into the museum during the month of December and pull an ornament from our Giving Tree to find, purchase, and donate the specified item.

Items fall into four categories

Animal Care (Ball ornament with orange string)

Exhibit Needs (Gingerbread ornament with red string)

Cleaning Supplies (Tree ornament with blue string)

Unrestricted Donations (Star ornament with green string)

If you take an ornament from the Museum tree, please take an in-kind gift form with you so that we can send you a thank you note.

If you take a monetary gift ornament, please take a giving envelope with you to return your gift to the front desk or mail back to the Museum. You can also make online contributions here https://www.munciemuseum.com/donations/ and designate your gift to any of the four categories.

We wish you a happy holiday season!

From the Museum Children’s Museum Staff

A Day of Play

We would like to invite the community to our Day of Play!

A Day of Play is designed to bring the museum right to you through both fun and educational activities!

From Saturday, August 21st to Saturday, August 28th, you and your friends and family can participate in a list of 10 challenges (both at-home and at fun locations throughout Muncie) and try to earn a prize!

Sat, Aug 21st – We’ll kick it off via Facebook live @ 11 am – pick up your clues and Supplies at MCM 11-1.

Over the next 7 days, participants can work on completing the 10 challenges using the clues and supplies provided, wear their event t-shirts, and take a selfie or video when completing a challenge to share with the event Facebook group!

To finish the event, we will celebrate at the museum on August 28th. All participants will get a small prize. If all 10 challenges are completed, they can then enter into a drawing for the grand prize!

The event will cost $15 per participant or $75 per family of 5 or more. This fee will cover materials and supplies necessary, entry into a private Facebook event group, and a t-shirt for each participant. Registration will begin on Aug 2nd.
