The mission of the Women’s Giving Circle is to empower women to provide financial support and leadership to the Muncie Children’s Museum, so that it can develop an environment in which children create, explore and imagine. The Women’s Giving Circle, founded in 2011, is comprised of women using their successes and resources to continue and strengthen the museum’s legacy of learning.
The goal of the Women’s Giving Circle is to provide funds for educational projects and programming for the museum. The projects receiving funding are decided upon by the membership of the Women’s Giving Circle. Past projects have included two years of summer camp, sponsorship of Free Saturday and a new wishing well.
The museum was founded by a small group of women who saw a definite need for a child-centered learning facility in the Muncie community. They decided that all exhibits and programs must be interactive, stimulate curiosity and raise thought-provoking questions while being fun. This legacy of learning has remained strong and still continues to be central to the Muncie Children’s Museum mission as it continues to serve Muncie and all of East Central Indiana.

“An investment that enriches the life of a child is its own reward.”
