Join Muncie Children’s Museum at Kitselman Trailhead on Wednesday, July 24th, for River Critters and Creatures. During this fun and interactive program, Toria Callow, from Flatland Resources, will share how they check water quality through the exploration of native creatures and critters in the White River. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about natural habitats through hands-on examples and will also enjoy in-river exploration. Water shoes, swimwear/towels, sunscreen and drinking water are recommended for this event. Because the kids will be exploring in the water, we ask that adults stay close-by their children to practice good water safety. There are concrete steps/benches built beside the river for people to sit on. Each family that participates will be entered to win a nature book or nature kit to be given away at the end of the event.
This event is part of Muncie Children’s Museum’s FREE summer program, More to Explore in Muncie, with weekly nature events sponsored by Muncie Altrusa Foundation. Every time your family attends a More to Explore in Muncie nature event, you will be entered into a drawing for a family membership to Muncie Children’s Museum to be given away in August.
Photos will be taken during this event for use in promotional material. A photo release will be provided at the event.
Kitselman Trailhead is located on East Jackson. Google map directions can be found here.
